Pugnale proudly introduced to the market the masterpiece “Sufficit Animus”. The spectacles Sufficit Animus were born from a collaboration that the company has established with Fondazione Il Vittoriale Degli Italiani, the foundation that manages the rights of the famous poet Gabriele d’Annunzio (1863-1938). This unique masterpiece, realized in a limited edition of 111 pieces, has been projected and launched as a tribute to the poet, and in memory of Gabriele d’Annunzio’s right-eye-loss, incident that happened exactly 100 years ago, during World War 1st., when he was flying over Trieste, Italy.
Sufficit Animus reinterpret the classic circles that used to be worn in early ‘900 from the intellectual Italian society, and it shows prestigious details that remind to the poet’s luxurious life. Characterized by handcrafted welding, and finished with a 24 carat gold coating, the frames are also enriched with oriental ornamental motifs on the temple tips.
